Welcome! I’m Danielle Landa

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Conflict resolution, manage conflict, learn communication skills

I help couples stop talking in circles and develop skills to listen and understand each other, so they can resolve their long-standing arguments and feel close again.

Every couple has a pattern that takes over under stress that gets in the way of problem-solving. The pattern happens when one person feels threatened and reacts to protect their pain. Their reaction makes their partner feel threatened, and before they know it, they are having the same old fight. I call this pattern their Trigger Loop, as it will continue like an infinity sign while they trigger each other over and over.

Over time, this dynamic erodes emotional safety and can make it feel impossible to talk about anything real or feel connected. Together, we’ll identify your unique protective patterns, calm your nervous systems, and uncover the deeper story beneath your reactions. From there, we’ll rebuild emotional safety and trust so you can reconnect and create the relationship you longed for from the start but got lost somewhere along the way.

Relationships are my passion. I became a therapist because therapy wasn’t helping my own marriage and it was worth saving. I have been through hell and back, so you don’t have to, and I believe I have found the secret to what really works to heal your marriage. While the relationship with your therapist remains the top priority, I believe the developmental approach I have learned for couples and individual work is key to achieving transformative results. This approach interrupts the pathological perspective that either person is inherently bad or flawed and provides hope as you learn to talk to each other honestly and become more skillful. With support, you will be encouraged to stretch beyond the places you get stuck as you learn more about yourself, your partner, and the relationship you are co-creating.

Expert therapy in Wayata, MN. Increase connection, build trust.

Imagine feeling seen and secure in your relationship again. No more walking on eggshells or being stuck in the same fight, just the steady sense that you and your partner are truly on the same team. Together, we’ll help you break free from the Trigger Loop, that cycle of hurt and protection that’s been running the show. You’ll begin to recognize when old pain gets activated and learn to settle your nervous system, express your emotions, and reach for your partner instead of reacting or withdrawing. You’ll start to feel the difference: conversations that used to spiral now lead to understanding. Moments that once created distance now bring you closer. The tension softens. The laughter returns.

I’m Glad You are Here.
